Dorothy Collins receiving the Ruby Keeler Award along with Stephen Sondheim of the Broadway show “Follies”.

Welcome

Welcome to the unofficial tribute website for Dorothy Collins, one of the most popular female vocalists of the 1950’s.  She is most noted for her many years on the very popular television program, “Your Hit Parade” which featured the top seven songs of the week as determined by record sales, songs heard on the radio and played on the automatic coin record machines.

After leaving “Your Hit Parade” Dorothy appeared on a host of other television shows and then broadened her talents in the area of summer stock.  The high point of her work on the stage was her stunning performance in Stephen Sondheim’s 1971 Broadway production of “Follies”.

To our knowledge, there is no other fan website dedicated to Dorothy’s many talents and outstanding accomplishments.  We have been in contact with Dorothy’s three daughters in the design of this website and have their approval for the content  of the website.

Please take time to enjoy the various pages which include a discography of her recordings beginning in 1944 up to the present.  Also included is a timeline of the important events in Dorothy’s life.  There is also a photo gallery of pictures from her varied career and links to other websites which feature some of the performances of Dorothy.
